OKOLONA--Fern Hickey, 85, of Okolona, died January 15, 2009, in Arkadelphia. She was born January 31, 1923, in Nevada County to James S. and Arminta Dora Moxley Easterling. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Hickey; one son-in-law, James McCorkle and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Cornelia and John Paul Dickerson, of Okolona and Rita McCorkle, of Laneburg; three grandchildren, Tim Dickerson, Kris Dorman, and Brad McCorkle; five great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great grandchildren. Visitation was held Saturday, January 17, between 6-8 p.m. at Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home. Services were held Sunday, January 18, 2009, in the Herndon-Pharr Chapel with Brother David Hampton officiating. Interment followed in Snell Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home. Services were entrusted to Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home.
