Hickey, resident of Perryton since 1949, was held Saturday at the Full Gospel Church. Rev. Harold Waterbury, pastor, conducted the service and burial was in Ochiltree Cemetery with Boxwell Bros. Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Hickey died at Ochiltree General Hospital Wednesday at 11:30 p.m. He had entered the hospital the previous Thursday for treatment of a heart condition. Native of Prescott, Ark., he was born April 28, 1908. He grew up at Prescott and married Lucille McLaine on July 18, 1942. He was mobilized with the National Guard into the 153rd Infantry Company in World War II and was later in the mechanized United States Cavalry, stationed at Ft. Leonardwood, Mo. He and his wife moved from Prescott to Perryton in 1949, and he was employed by the City of Perryton until he retired in 1973. Their home is at 810 South Drake. He is survived by his wife, Lucille; a son, Darrell Hickey of Perryton, and two grandchildren, Scotty and Kimberly Hickey. Also surviving are two brothers, L. J. Hickey of Crowley, La., and Scott Hickey of Delight, Ark. Pallbearers for the funeral were James Banks, Steve Scott, Rocky Morris, William Anderson, Beady Barclay and Eulus Gray.
