M. M. Tyson, 77, son of the late John and Beulah Tyson died at home.
He was born in Hosston, La. He served in the Merchant Marines and the U. S. Army with the 11th Airborne. He had a honorable discharge as Staff Sergeant - Medical Detachment.
After the service he worked as a union construction worker, later farming and retiring in Mammoth Spring.
He was survived by his wife, Esther M. Tyson of the home; a sister, Gene Nelson of Fond Dulac, Wis.; a daughter, Ruth Tyson and her husband, Tommy Martin, of Sherwood, Ark.; three sons - Mike Tyson and his wife, Barbara, Daniel Tyson and his wife, Audrey all of Mammoth Spring, and John Tyson and his wife, Cecilia, of Knoxville, Ark.; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and a brother.
The graveside service was Jan. 16, at Riverside Cemetery, Mammoth Spring, Ark., officiating were family members and friends. Arrangements by Roller Funeral Home, Mountain Home, Ark.
