  From Jenn: "Nathan Melissa was born in Lamar county, Texas on Dec. 18, 1877. She was 1/2 Cherokee and 1/2 Irish. Her siblings were Ella, Sarah (called Sally)Martha, Belle, Mary, Carlyle, Rayford, and Dock Warren." (This list doesn't mention Levi who was listed in census records. I never have found any historical records regarding Rayford or Carlyle. Probably one of them was Levi. I would guess Levi Rayford or Rayford Levi as the name would be a combination of the maternal and paternal grandfather's names. Carlyle may have been stillborn or may have died in early infancy. According to Dock's granddaughter, Carolyn, he claimed to have had only one brother and that brother fell out of a tree and broke his neck. MWL)
