Kindle, who entered the Paris Transit Company service March 19, 1916, two days before the Big Fire, stopped No. 31 car on the South Main Street switch for this snapshot to be taken, exactly two years later.'
 THE PARIS NEWS, 15 Oct 1962. 'Funeral service for Marion L. Kindle, 449-12th NE, retired longtime custodian of Rosa Pearson School, and one of the last streetcar motormen here, was arranged for 2:30 p.m. Monday at Gene Roden and Sons Chapel. The Rev. Gene Burgess, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, which Mr. Kindle was a member, was to officiate, burial to be made in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Kindle, born 5 Apr 1891, son of J.J. and Sallie (Holder) Kindle, died Saturday at 11:55 p.m. at the Sanitarium of Paris, after being ill some time. He was employed by the Paris Transit Company prior to discontinuance of streetcar service here about 1927, and later became custodian of the Pearson Elementary School in West Paris. He leaves his wife, the former, Rita Moomaw; a stepson, Earl Sherley, Paris Fire Marshall; a brother and two sisters: Jack Kindle and Mrs. Gillie Jordan, Paris, and Mrs. Floyd Wall, Lewisville, besides 12 nieces and nephews.'
