  Oma Blackburn, 93 Funeral services for Oma Blackburn, 93, of Ruston were held Sept. 1 at the Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Arrender officiating. Burial followed at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mrs. Blackburn died at Alpine Guest Care Center Aug. 31.Born July 28, 1908 in Quitman, she was a retired bag catcher for Continental Can. Mrs. Blackburn was preceded in death by her husband E.D. Blackburn and son Arlo Byrum Blackburn. She is survived by one son, Xavier Blackburn and wife Flossie of Quitman; daughter-in-law, Annie Ruth Blackburn Browning of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.Pallbearers were Dennis Blackburn, Kerry Blackburn, Kit Carson, Johnny Hinton, Phil Ingram and John Henry Plunkett. Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
