In 1971 JCs' son Johnnie Ray was also killed in a log truck in northern California. Even more strange is the fact that several years later Tony & Ruth had a car accident in this same location. They survived, but they lost a family Bible there. At some time later Roy Weber May found the Bible and kept it hoping to one day return it to either the owners or a family member. In 1954 his son Otis May, married Virty May Leamons, a niece to Tony & Ruth. So Roy gave the Bible to her. It was in her procession at the time of her death in Dec. 2002.
