Note: ) 461-30-3783 Texas James Cornelius Norrid, 68, Oklahoma City, Okla., died Sunday April 5, 1992. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Shamrock. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary. Mr. Norrid was born Jan. 23, 1924 in Shamrock, and had been a resident of Oklahoma City for 21 years. He was a 1942 graduate of Kelton High School, and the University of OCU in 1957, and Woodrow Wilson School of Law, Adrian, GA, in 1962. He was a retired photographer, and World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his father in 1955 and his mother in 1985. Survivors include a son, James Warren Cowles of Houston, a daughter, Terry Puckett of Houston; two brothers, Floyd Norrid of Lubbock; and Cecil Norrid of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Mary Bentley of Borger; and Edna Lou Kidd of Lubbock; and two grandchildren. (Published in Borger News Herald, April 7, 1992) Nuptial Vows Solemnized SHAMROCK, Oct. 25 (Special) —Miss Audry Mclntyre, daughter of Mrs. Thelma Mclntyre, became the bride of James Norrid of Amarillo, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Norrid of Kelton, on Friday evening, Oct. 17, at the Assembly of God Church. The impressive double ring service was read by the pastor, Rev. A.J. Williams. Candles were lighted by Donnie Prater and James Conner. Duward Price sang "Always," by Berlin, accompanied by Mrs. Marie Lane of Wellington. Mrs. Lane sang "I Love You Truly," playing her own accompaniment. Mrs. D. L. Vinyard was matron-of-honor, and Miss. Mary Bell Norrid,sister of the bridegroom, and Mrs. S. B. Mclntyre, sister-in-law of the bride, were bridesmaids. R. C. Craig was best man, and groomsmen were Duward Price, Vernon D. Hardin and Nolan Price. The bride entered on the arm of her brother, S. B. Mclntyre, who gave her in marriage. She was attired in a tailored suit of teal blue, accented with brown accessories. She wore an off-the-face hat and carried a white Bible topped wlth white carnations and showered with white satin ribbon. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's mother. The wedding cake was served by Mrs. Duward Price. Mrs. Thelma Mclntyre presided at the punch bowl and was assisted by Miss Joyce Wall and Miss Joy Craig of Kelton. Mrs. Norrid attended Shamrock High School and for the past few months has been employed by the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company of Amarillo. The bridegroom, a graduate of Kelton High School, attended Wayland College at Plainvlew before entering military service. After a wedding trip to Beaumont, the couple will be at home in Amarillo, 1300 Pierce. Mr. Norrid is associated with his brother in the Norrid Glass Company of Amarillo.
