Good bye old friend. Marvin Leamons
In 1980 one of my Dads workers brought a guy over who had retired from CA and was looking for a little work, part-time. He was loud, a jokester and a great guy. I worked with him for 17 yrs on the job and was his neighbor for several yrs. Neither of us did a project around the house without the other there to help. I would always think through a project as best I could, call him over for an opinion, and he would ....always have a better plan. He was an Army veteran of the Philippians in WW2, being strafed through the legs with a M42, bayonetted in right shoulder and stabbed in left forearm.......he had BTDT and served proudly as a medic. I was the first call he made when his wife passed in her sleep and he was my first when my room mate shot hisself. He was over all the greatest mentor of my life. I can not count the times I've went to him for advice. I talked to him last about 6 weeks ago or so, and we updated phone #'s. He was dating two women and still going dancing as BIR, 82 yrs old. I called this yesterday to find both #'s disconnected. One more call and I found he had passed and been buried. Good bye Marv. You served proud, bettered the world and made a big difference in many peoples life's. The world will be lesser place without you in it. (by Wayne)
