He is preceded in death by his former wife, Alma May Dixon, son-in-law, Phillip Slaughter, and brothers, L.D. and Utah Dixon. Douglas is survived by his wife, Claudene (Duckworth) Dixon, children & their spouses: Charlene & Fred Morrow, Linda Slaughter, Daniel & Judine Dixon, Mary Ann & Robert Reven; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, brother, Kenneth Dixon, sister, Margaret Dixon and a host of family and friends. Visitation is 10 am to 9 pm, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, Sep. 12th, at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, Sep. 13, 2002, at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Mesquite.
