Note: Hazel Lee Leamons (September 22, 1930 - October 26, 2014) Hazel Lee Leamons, 84, of Camden died Sunday, October 26, 2014 in Camden. Mrs. Leamons was born September 22, 1930 in Camden, the daughter of George Washington Word, Sr., and Lillie Mae Davis Word. She was a Baptist by faith and retired from Lockheed Martin Defense Systems.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold James Shaw and Jessie Leamons; son, Timothy Shaw; brothers, James Buster Word and George Washington Word, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Mark Shaw of Ruston, LA; daughter, Martha Sharp and husband, Joe of Camden; brother, Jerry Word and wife, Marie of Camden; sister, Lois Larkins and husband, Gerald of Camden; stepsons, Keith Leamons of Camden, and Dan Leamons of Gurdon; stepdaughter, Karen Davis of Sparkman; grandchildren, JoAnn Womack and husband, Clint, Timothy Sharp and wife, Melanie all of Camden, Kerri Sharp of Broken Bow, OK, Logan Shaw and Matthew Shaw both of New Edinburg, AR; four step grandchildren, Cheryl, Renee, Caleb, and Cameron; four great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Connie Shaw of New Edinburg, AR, and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Graveside services for Mrs. Leamons will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery in Camden. Proctor Funeral Home of Camden is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday, October 27, 2014 at the funeral home.
