Note: e was born in Pawhuska, OK to Lee Roy and Grace Florence (McCrery) Linch. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hank and Grace Ellen (Lund) McCrery and John Wm. and Mary Elizabeth (Webb) Linch; his parents, Lee Roy and Grace Linch; his sister, Rosa Lee (Linch) Borgman; and the mother of his three children, Pauline (Winchester) Linch. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Karen Elizabeth (Kuzmic) Linch; children, Michael Linch (Suzanne), of White House, TX; Ray Linch Jr., of Irving, TX; and Deborah (Linch) Guerrero, of Pasadena, TX; his grandchildren, Michael Christopher Linch and Jenna Linch, both of McKinney, TX; Erin (Linch) Harris (Gerrit) and Gabrielle Linch, both of Edmond, OK; and Alexandria Guerrero, of Three Rivers, TX; great-granddaughter, Madalyne; brother, Bill Linch, of Globe, AZ; and John Linch (Dorothy), of New Berry Springs, CA; his blended family children, Veronica Quinn, of McLoud, OK; Annette Balderas (Claudio), of Moore, OK; Gina Urbina, of Blanchard, OK; Gilbert Santos, of Norfolk, VA; Mario Santos, of Moore, OK; and Paul Santos Sr. (Rebecca), of OKC, OK; grandchildren, Paul, Mike, Dawna, John, Buddy, Santiago, Dominic, Josh, Rachael, Sheila, Angelina, Tonya, Nena, Carlos, Amanda, Adriana, Mario Jr., Ashley, Matt, Monique, Alicia, Paul Jr., Karen, Nancy, and Mayra; and 30 great-grandchildren. Ray attended school at Putnam City until joining the Navy at 17. He was in aviation and flew all over the world. He did one tour in Vietnam. Ray graduated from college in Washington, DC with a bachelor degree in aviation management. He also obtained his A&P and IA licenses. Ray worked at several air maintenance corps in Corpus Christi, TX; Brownsville, TX; then ending his career maintaining aircraft for Kerr-McGee at Will Rogers World Airport. He was an accomplished goldsmith and silversmith, selling at many art shows, pow wows, gun shows and Red Earth. He traveled coast to coast researching genealogy, publishing a book on Linch/Lynch lineage, which is now in genealogy libraries in 43 of the 50 states. Ray joined the Air National Guard and then the United States Air Force, retiring after 27 years of service. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was then stricken with muscular dystrophy and later, serious injuries from the May 20, 2013, tornado, leading to his death. He will be remembered for his superb knowledge in science and aviation and his honesty. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 800 N.W. 5th St., Moore, OK. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015, at St. Andrew with Father Jack Feehily officiating. Interment will follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, 7500 W. Britton Rd. in OKC, OK. Donations may be made in Ray's honor to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK.
