  S. V. Leamons, 60, of Coleman, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 1979, at 6:15 p.m. in the Brownwood Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday at 4:00 p.m. in Stevens Memorial Chapel with Paul Hubbard, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Coleman Cemetery.
  Born June 1, 1919 in Clark County, Arkansas, Mr. Leamons was the son of George and Meg Herrin Leamons. He married Helen Ellis July 22, 1939 in Clark County, moved to Coleman in 1946, and was employed by the Coleman Schools for 32 years until he retired in February of this year due to ill health. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Coleman.
  Survivors include his wife, Helen of Coleman; one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Clara) Greer of McCamey; one son, George Leamons of LaPorte; two sisters, Mrs. Ana Mae Archer of Brownwood and Mrs. Idel l Loy of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
  Pallbearers were Terrell Graves; Billy C. Bartley, C. E. Casselberry, Carlton Baker, Charlie Blanton and W. A. Patton. Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
