Note: THOMAS LEE “TOM” LOCKE RICHARDSON — Thomas Lee “Tom” Locke, age 54, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at his home in Richardson.
Tom was born July 10, 1959, in Gainesville to Kenneth Ray and Anna Lee (Mitchell) Locke.
He grew up in Denison, where he graduated from Denison High School in 1977. Tom later graduated from SMU in 1984, with a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering. He then went to work for Texas Instruments and various defense and telecommunications companies. He enjoyed playing the drums in a band with his brothers and on the praise team at his church. Tom lived life to the fullest and enjoyed golfing, scuba diving, traveling, fishing, taking his dogs to the dog park and spending time with his children. Tom was very handy and could fix anything. He was strong in his faith and was a member of Allen Family of Faith in Allen.
He is survived by his children, Craig Thomas Locke and Lauren Christine Locke, both of Allen; their mother, Patricia Ann Locke, also of Allen; mother, Anna Lee Locke of Pottsboro; and brothers, Samuel Ray Locke and wife Dana of Richardson, Joseph Andrnetscaperadio-buttonew Locke and wife Cindy of Wylie and Richard Wayne Locke of Valencia, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; and grandparents, Dorothy and W. C. Locke and Pauline and Lynton Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen/
Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.
The family received friends during a visitation from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at the funeral home.
