Homer Winchester, 76, of Yelm, died Friday. Born in Pecan Gap, Texas, Mr. Winchester moved to Yelm last year from Sinton, Texas. He was a retired oil field worker. He was a member of FIrst Baptist Church in Yelm. He is survived by his wife Irene; a son, John of Spanaway; a daughter, Carlean Kerr of Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister, Margie Doyell of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Bob of Anahuac, Texas, and Riley of Sinton; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Fir Lane Funeral Home is in charge.
