Note: e following a brief illness. He retired from the U.S. Army, having served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a former employee of Dyna Electron in Dallas, Texas and was of the Presbyterian faith. Surviving are a daughter, Katima Winchester of Central; two sons, Thurmond Winchester of Central and Sydney Winchester of Pickens; a brother, Jack Brown of Smithville, Missouri; and two sisters, Audrey Neal of Berryville, Virginia and Margie Lee Yowell of Boyce, Virginia. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park with full military rites. The family is at the home of Thurmond Winchester, Route 3, Camp Creek Drive, Central.
