Note: , in Dike, TX, to Andrew Jackson and Kitty (Burkham) Buchanan. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was married January 7, 1947, to Wanda Faye Clancy in Greenville, TX. Mr. Buchanan has been a resident of the area since 1954 and was owner and operator of The Cabinet Manufacturing and Door Company of Rowlett, TX, for over 36 years. He was a member of Firewheel Bible Fellowship.
Mr. Buchanan is survived by his son: Joe David Buchanan and wife Brenda of Rowlett, TX; daughter: Faye Lynn Buchanan of Richardson, TX; brother: Tommy L. Buchanan of Garland, TX; sister: Betty Parker of Graham, TX; grandchildren: Stacey Bravo of Hickory Creek, TX, David Buchanan of Wylie, TX, Seth Spence of Dallas, TX, Wesley Spence of Garland, TX, and Ashton Spence of Kaufman, TX; great-grandchildren: Clayton, Brendan, Landon, Jacob and Brynlee. He was preceded in death by his wife: Wanda Faye Buchanan; sisters: Clara May Buchanan and Faye Ferguson; brothers: Richard and Jack Buchanan.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rowlett Chapel. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
