"Lucky" Lawhorn(December 2, 1950 - April 3, 2008)George M. “Lucky” Lawhorn, 57, of Hot Springs, died Thursday, April 3, 2008 at a local Hospital. He was born in Pine Bluff, AR on December 2, 1950, to the late George Donald and Mae (Murray) Lawhorn. He is a graduate of Pine Bluff High School and retired from Cotton Belt Railroad in Pine Bluff. George was a member of the Hot Springs South Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was an easy going, laid back person. He loved the open water: swimming, spear fishing, skiing, scuba diving, and enjoying the scenery. He fried the best fish! He was a collector of many things: cars, antiques, license plates, and friends. George loved his family very much. Once Yvonne retired, he took her on numerous cruise and road trips. He also had a great love for Jehovah, which helped him through tough times. He set a great example that we hope to follow and see him in the paradise.Survivors include his wife, Yvonne (Leamons) Lawhorn, of Hot Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Laura Lawhorn, of Columbia, Missouri; daughter and son-in-law, Lesley and Ben Wylie, of Little Rock, Arkansas.Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2018 East Grand Avenue, Hot Springs, AR, with Robert Haight officiating.Memorial donations may be made directly to Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, Attention Treasurer’s Office, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, New York, 11201-2483.Cremation arrangements are by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home
