Rev J.B. Leamons of Turlock Dies at 76
Turlock - Rites for the Rev. Joseph B. Leamons, 76, of Turlock will be conducted at 10 AM tomorrow in Norton Mortuary. Interment will be in Cherokee Cemetery in Lodi, San Joaquin County. The Rev. Leamons, a retired Baptist minister, died in his home Friday night after a year’s illness. He lived in Texas until coming to California in 1942. He moved here in 1948 and was affiliated with the Turlock Southern Baptist Church. He leaves his widow, Antnett Leamons of Turlock; two sons, Les of Texas and Ted Leamons of Lodi; four daughters, Beulah Springfield of Turlock, Idell Braden of Oakland, Mrs. Raymond Fitzgerald of Stockton and Ada Williams of Texas, and 19 grandchildren.
Final Rites Held For Joe Leamons, 76
Funeral services were held today at 10 a.m. from the Norton Mortuary for Joe Leamons, 76, who died Friday evening in his home following an illness of one year. Born in Texas, Mr. Leamons came to California in 1942 and moved to Turlock in 1948. He is survived by his wife, Antnett Leamons of Turlock; two sons, Less of Texas and Ted of Lodi; four daughters, Beulah Springfield of Turlock, Idell Braden of Oakland, Mrs. Raymond Fitzgerald of Stockton, and Ada Williams of Dallas, Texas, and 19 grandchildren. The Rev. R. C. Hampton officiated at the services. Interment was in the Cherokee Cemetery of Lodi.
Left eye very sensitive to light.
