Note: Odessa American Tuesday, July 25, 2006 Karen Teresa Roy Odessa Karen Teresa Roy, 63, of Midland, passed away Monday, July 24, 2006 at Hospice of Midland following a lengthy illness.
She was born on November 2, 1942 in Smackover, Arkansas. Karen touched the hearts of all who were close to her. She had a great love for gardening and animals. She was a wonderful lady who will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James “Red” Roy. Survivors include her brother, Conrad Leamons of Odessa, sister, Sandra Neel, niece, Lisa Proffitt and husband Jeff Proffitt of Odessa, niece, Crista Wilson, nephew, Brent Leamons, three great-nieces, Courtney and Stephanie Proffitt and Rachel Wilson, step-son, Kyle Roy and his children, Alan Roy and Becky Hobbs, all of Midland. She is also survived by nephew, Charles Campanella and his daughters, Kattie and Renee Campanella of Midland. Graveside services have been scheduled for 3:00 P.M.
