CURTIS A. MCCAULEY, SR. passed away Monday, January 18, 2010 at the age of 81. Curtis was a longtime resident of Houston, where he owned and operated McCauley Lumber Company since 1954. He enjoyed supporting the local youth organizations, churches, FFA Chapters, and young people. Curtis was always known for loving a good horse, fat cows, and lots of land. He was a devoted and loved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Frank McCauley; Daughters : Lynn Konikowski and husband Les, Karen Highsmith and husband Charlie, Kathy Philip and husband Johnnie, Sons: Curt McCauley and wife Niki, John Fisher McCauley and wife Sue; Grandsons: John Philipp and wife Whitney, Shane Philipp, Stephen Harwood, Curtis Harwood, John Fisher McCauley, Jr., Charlie Highsmith, Curtis McCauley, III; Granddaughters: Jennifer McCauley, Jessica McCauley, Shelby McCauley, Carly Highsmith, Joan Harwood, Ann Barry, Jane Devine; Great-Grandson: Jade Philipp; Brother: Fred Robert McCauley; Sister: Lois McCauley Burk A visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home Magnolia. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 21, 2010 in the Chapel of Klein Funeral Home Magnolia. Interment will follow in Klein Memorial Park.Donations may be made in the name of Curtis A.
