Note: Raymond Junior Newton, 82, of Redfield, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016.
Born May 26, 1933, at Checotah, Oklahoma
he was a son of the late Otto and Silvia Goens Newton.
Mr. Newton was a member of Redfield Missionary Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran. He retired from Brown & Root in the early 80’s to begin a full time career of yard piddlin’ and story tellin’. Remembered by his family and friends as a hardworking man and a provider, he was always ready to help anyone in need.
In addition to his parents,
Mr. Newton was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Adell Leamons Newton;
son, Casey Newton; daughter Lana Parker; grandchildren, Laycie, Bryson, Alicia;
a four-legged granddaughter, Maggie and many other loving family and friends.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, 4:00 p.m.
at Redfield Cemetery with military honors.
