Note: Jerry Tims Jerry Tims was born April 20, 1940, in Chourdant Louisiana. Jerry spent time growing up between Louisiana and Texas, finally settling in Galveston Texas in 1951. He was married in 1966 to Kathleen Mc Clain and had three children. He worked many jobs and owned several small businesses during his adult life. In 1989, he retired from the Galveston Wharves. After the passing of his wife in 1994 he quit working and dedicated his time to taking care of his children. He passed from this life on February 26, 2010, at Mainland Center Hospital after a long illness, at the age of 69.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elsie Fay Tims and William Edgar Tims, his sister Gloria Massy, and his wife of 28 years Kathleen Tims.
He is survived by his sisters Catherine Smith, Doris Doyle, Kasey Lucky, Linda Wilkerson; daughter Lenora Tims; sons Jerry and Ralph Tims, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Services will be held at Church of the Living God 3315 7 Mile Road Galveston, Texas, on Thursday, March 4, 2010. Fellowship will begin at 5 p.m., with services following at 6 p.m.
