 Born February 15, 1937 in Clark County, he was a son of the late John Biggert Hagins and Mary Odelia Puterbaugh Hagins.
 He was a retired mechanic and a member of the Smith Chapel Church of God near Fordyce. He also served in the U.S. Navy.
 Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Hagins of Fordyce; three sons, John Wayned Hagins and wife, Nancy Marie, of Fordyce, Garland Douglas Hagins and wife, Kimberly Ann, of Alexander and Garry Ray Hagins and wife, Patricia Diane, of Colorado Springs, Col.; three brothers, Wilson Hagins of Payne Creek, Calif.; George Hagins of Weir, Kan., and Sam Hagins of Fordyce; two sisters, Juanita Dunbar of Ashdown and Vivian Bottorff of Gould; and seven grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm., Thursday, february 3, at the benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Lewis, rev. Gary Kennedy and Rev. Roger Free officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery by Benton Funeral Home, Inc.
