Funeral services were held for Mrs. O.V. Walker Martin on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Edmonds Chapel in Jonesboro, LA. A time of visitation was held Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Edmonds Funeral Home. Interment followed in Liberty Hill Cemetery in Bienville, LA.
Mrs. Walker was born on June 7, 1926 and she passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011. She was 85 years of age.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Martin; parents, Elmer and Mattie Waler; and two brothers, A.Q. Walker and E.L. Walker.
Survivors include one daughter, Sunshine Elkins and husband Hez of Farmerville, LA; two sons, Kenny Martin and wife Carla and Mickey Martin all of Jonesboro, LA; two brothers, James Walker of Gibsland, LA and Dean Walker of Bienville, LA; five grandchildren, Tessa Black, Tonya Jenkins, Carrie Williams, J.K. Martin and Mickey Joseph Martin; seven great-grand-children and two step-great-grandchildren.
