Birth: Feb. 10, 1928 Death: Feb. 10, 2008 Mrs. Verna Marie (Bramlett) Brown, age 80, of Dodson, La., passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008, at her residence in Dodson, La.
She was the daughter of the late Elmer Bramlett and the late Virgie (Weeks) Bramlett. Mrs. Brown was also preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Brown; her son, Paul Brown; and daughter, Karen "Libby" Williams. She is survived by her three Daughters, Glenda Pinkston and husband Tom of Jonesboro, La. Pamela Nobles of Goldonna, La. Peggy Cockerham of Dodson, La. ;four Sons, James Brown and wife Elaine of Lufkin, Texas Steve Brown and wife Brenda of Dodson, La. David Brown and wife Karen of Clay, La. Cleve Jordan and wife Etna of Jonesboro, La.; two Brothers, John Bramlett of Houston, Texas Lonnie Bramlett of Winnfield, La. ; thirty four grandchildren; fifty three great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and, companion, Henry White of Dodson, La. Funeral services will be held at Dodson Baptist Church at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2008 , with Bro. Loy Gaar and Rev. Hudy Beaubouef officiating. Interment will be at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Hodge, La. under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
