Doyle E. Potts
Services for Mr. Doyle E. Potts will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Pineville Park Baptist Church with Reverend Greg Carroll and Dr. Gary Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville. Mr. Potts, 88, of Pineville died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Rapides Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Pineville Park Baptist Church, where he was very active with the Senior Adults. During his working life he was a bus driver/dispatcher for Continental Trailways, and received an award for driving over 1 million miles without an accident. Mr. Potts was employed and retired from Ray's Pest Control. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Elisha and Annie Belle Brown Potts; sisters, Leila Mae Potts, Ruby Glass and Bernice Hutchinson. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 64 years, Raye Potts of Pineville; daughter, Mary Ann Harrell and her husband, Charles of Pineville; brothers, Clyde Potts of Ruston, Claude Potts of Port Arthur, Texas; sisters, Dorothy Smith of Ruston, Gladys Dye of Ruston; granddaughters, Catherine Gerdes of Havelock, North Carolina and Amy Kraushaar of Arlington, Virginia; four great-grandchildren. Friends may call Friday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday at Pineville Park Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until service time.
