Joe “Frank” Pennington
Frank was born on April 25, 1928, to Bob & Lena Pennington in Palo Pinto, Texas. He married Hazel Pass on Dec. 18,1948, in Weatherford, Texas. He went to be with the Heavenly Father on June 1, 2007. He leaves to treasure the memories he had with his wife, Hazel Pennington; son, Rick Pennington; daughter, Lynda Armstrong; granddaughters, Leslie Rienhardt and Kodi Venable; grandson, Winston Pennington, and two great-grandchildren, Bethany Venable and Chance Young.
Frank was a Cowboy, Rancher and Welder and enjoyed the outdoors and tinkering in his shop. He was a member of the PRCA, was Fire Chief in Justin for 15 years and a member of the Lions Club.
Frank was preceded in death by five brothers, Chester Pennington, John Pennington, Donald Pennington, Paul Pennington and Winston “Dub” Pennington; and three sisters, Willie Mae Seals, Hattie Louise Simmons, and Clara Janice Pennington.
He will be forever missed and remembered always by his family and many friends.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Justin Volunteer Fire Department.
The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors Monday night from 6 to 8 p.m. for visitation.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m., at the Ponder Baptist Church with burial at the Justin Cemetery.
