Birth: Jan. 15, 1918 Death: Jan. 6, 1994 Palo Pinto- John Lewis Pennington, a rancher, died Thursday at his Palo Pinto Home. He was 75. Funeral will be at 2 pm, Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Palo Pinto, where he was a member.
Burial will be in Palo Pinto Cemetery. Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pennington was born in Palo Pinto and lived in Palo Pinto most of his life. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
The family suggest that memorials be made to First United Methodist Church in Palo Pinto. Survivors: Wife, Melvena Pennington of Palo Pinto; daughter, Carol Holmes of Mineral Wells; son, Ray Pennington of Palo Pinto; three brother, Donald Pennington and Paul Pennington, both of Justin and Frank Pennington of Bridgeport; two sisters, Willie Mae Seals and Louise Simmons, both of Justin; and four grandchildren.
