Note: Obituary for Reba Faye Rowland FORT WORTH - Reba Faye Rowland was born July 10th, 1921 in the small community of Briar just north of Azle. Her father was Fred Lewis and her mother was Mary Ethel Wright Lewis.
She attended Diamond Hill High School and then went on to take classes at TWU. Reba was the Texas area manager for Highlights for Children magazine and was a top sales woman.
After 96 years virtually illness free, she fell and broke her hip on January 11th. After careful consideration she decided she didn't want surgery and entered hospice care. She passed peacefully on January 21st on the day of her 79th wedding anniversary.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joe Frank Rowland; a son, Joe Rowland Jr.; and a granddaughter, Suzannah Christine Loesch.
She is survived by daughters, Reba Jo Adams, Cynthia Kohl and husband Larry and Kimberly Watson and husband, Clyde Watson Sr.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
