Roper, Billie Nell Sanders 1931-2007
Funeral for Billie Nell Sanders Roper, 76, of Boyd was Wednesday, Oct. 31, in Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Brent Nordin officiating. Burial was in Garvin Cemetery.
Roper died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, in Bridgeport.
Born Feb. 15, 1931, in Clarksville to Chunnie Harris and Bonnie Ola (Brown) Sanders, she married William Ruel Roper in 1949 in Fort Worth. She was a retired bookkeeper.
Roper was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Kimberly Roper; a grandson, Antonio “Rusty” Jaramillo II; a sister, Ann Ruth Brown; and a brother, Chunnie “Coon” Sanders.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Lamance and husband, Harry, of Boyd, Bonnie Jaramillo and husband, Anthony, of Newark and Doll Van Schuyver and husband, Lonnie, of Boyd; son, W.R. “Rocky” Roper Jr. and wife, Janiece, of Boyd; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sisters, Naoma Franzeo and Carolyn Sue Wright, both of Fort Worth, Mary Brannan of Bridgeport and Georgia Ann Wrey and Modrel Quatro, both of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Jamie Lamance, Yancy Van Schuyver, Bobby Radado, Justin Davis and Casey Gregory.
