Note: Billy George Seals Billy George Seals, Age 85, was born August 16, 1931, to George Thomas "Bud" Seals and Willie Mae Pennington Seals, at Justin, Texas, the older of two sons. He resided in Denton County where he was born, raised, and lived out his 85 years on the place his father and mother settled on. George, as he was known to family and friends alike, attended school at Ponder. He enjoyed saddle bronc riding in his younger years and participated in local rodeos. He worked cattle on various ranches in the area and broke horses. On December 20, 1950, George married Juanita Melcer. They had a son, David George Seals in January of 1953. Rodeo stopped after his son was born, but he continued working in ranching activities. George began work for the Rural Mail Carriers Association in 1981. He retired from the postal service in 1997. Mr. Seals was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Billy Bob Seals, a brother Bobby Leon Seals, his niece Sherri Duessen, and his wife "Nita." He is survived by his son David, two grandchildren, Jonathan and Shelley Seals of Dallas, two nieces Bobbie Gail North, Patty Lynn Morris, Paula Davis Miller, nephews Jake North and Clay North, and a special lady friend Jane Toomer, and numerous cousins. Visitation will be Thursday, July 13, 2017, at DeBerry Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Services will be held at First Baptist Church Ponder at 11:00 am, Friday, July 14.
