a. Note:   The Baytown Sun Andrew Jackson Leamons
 Andrew Jackson Leamons, born August 4, 1910, to John and Tommie Leamons in Turkey Creek, LA, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Andrew grew up in Turkey Creek, Louisiana and was a farmer and a woodsman. Later Andrew moved to Houston, Texas and worked for A.O. Smith Corp. and retired from Armco Steel. Andrew enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was always ready to sink a line. Andrew was a faithful member of the Channelview Church of Christ and was always faithful to the Lord. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, John and Tommie Leamons, his brothers, Garland Clark, Lee Clark, Authur Leamons, and Vester Clark, and his sisters, Sarah Johnson, Ida Chaddick, Nancy Johnson and Tiny Bennett. Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Ruby Johnson Leamons, his daughter, Ann Lorfing and husband Herb, his son, Charles Leamons and wife Rita. Grandchildren, Kenneth Lorfing and wife Debbie, Angela Copeland and husband Steve. Great-grandchildren Jacob Lorfing, Jennifer Lorfing and Addison Copeland. The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 2 p.m.to 3 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd. Baytown, TX, with funeral services to be held following the visitation at 3 p.m. Services will be directed by Minister Mark Auten, of the Channelview Church of Christ. Music will be led by Mark Miller. Interment will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Turkey Creek Cemetery, Turkey Creek, LA. Serving as pallbears for Baytown services will be Steve Copeland, John Dlouhy, Don Franks, Kenneth Lorfing, Vern Riehl and Fred Robinstien. Serving as pallbearers for the Turkey Creek ceremonies will be Carroll Weatherford, Wesley Johnson, Keith Deville, Johnny Roberts, Matthew Weatherford and Shannon Weatherford. Special thanks to Shelita (Lisa) King for six years of faithful service. Also, special thanks and appreciation to the staff of Cedar Bayou Rehab and Healthcare Center and A-Med Community Hospice.
