 Ruby was a life-long and faithful member of the Church of Christ and was a member of the Channelview congregation for the past 50-plus years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.
 She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, A. J. Leamons; brothers, Calvin, Robert and Douglas Johnson; sisters, Sadie Johnson, Valerie Perry and Leatrice Zimmerman.
 She is survived by her loving daughter, Ann Lorfing and husband Herbert; son, Charles Leamons and wife Rita; grandchildren, Kenneth Lorfing and wife Debbie, Angela Copeland and husband Steve; great grandchildren, Jacob Lorfing, Jennifer Lorfing and Addison Copeland; sisters, Clara Powers and Dessie Powers; brothers, Willard Johnson and Wesley Johnson, as well as many friends and extended family.
 The family would like to thank Gerling Home Care, SEV Nursing Care, Dr. Chong, Resolution Hospice and all of the dedicated people at Cedar Bayou Rehab and Healthcare for all the loving care they gave our Mother.
 The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 2, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with funeral services to follow at 3:00 p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at Turkey Creek Cemetery, Turkey Creek, LA.
  Leatrice Zimmerman NEDERLAND- Leatrice Zimmerman, 68, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at Vidor Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. She was born in Turkey Creek, Louisiana on April 23, 1938 to Melissa Chaddrick Johnson and Abner Johnson. She has been a resident of the Nederland/Port Neches area for over 40 years. Leatrice worked at Market Basket as a wrapper in the meat department for several years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Visitation will be on Thursday from Noon until 8:00 p.m. at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral Services will be on Friday, July 7, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Turkey Creek, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Turkey Creek Cemetery under the Direction of Clayton Thompson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Valerie Perry and her brother, Duglas Johnson and Calvin Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Broussard and her husband, David of Sour Lake, Texas, Cheryl Nelson and her husband, Danny of Port Neches, Texas and Connie Owens and her husband, David of Lumberton, Texas, her son, Donald Zimmerman and his wife, Trudy of Nederland, Texas, her grandchildren, Seth, Randi, and Beau Owens, Melissa and Megan Nelson, Jennifer Flores and Brandon Gremillion and her great grandson, Micha Flores, along with her sisters, Ruby Leamons of Channelview, Texas, Sadie Johnson, Clara Powers and Dessie Powers all of Turkey Creek, Louisiana, her brothers, Robert Johnson of Port Arthur, Texas, Bill Johnson and Wesley Johnson, both of Turkey Creek, Louisiana with numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephew.
