Nell Gann
Funeral services will take place today (Nov. 11) for Lucy Nell Gann who died Nov. 7, 2005 in the home of her daughter in Elk Grove.
Mrs. Gann, 89, was born to John and Rosa Holloway on Jan. 5, 1916 in Sparkman, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Paul Gann on Sept. 11, 1989.
"She has been our guide, our protector, our inspiration and most importantly, our friend," said her family.
Mrs. Gann is survived by her children, Mary Pauline Hammond and husband Lavere of West Lake Village, Richard L. Gann and wife Joan of Phoenix, Linda N. Stone and husband Ken of Elk Grove and JoAnn Fowler and husband George of Mammoth Lakes; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Today's services begin at 2 p.m. at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks.
