...The Bryant Link Hardware sold during the 1930's to E. O. Jamison and Sam Clonts, who operated the store for many years.
About this time, Bryant Link, who bought the original West Texas Supply Company, sold to E. O. Jamison, one of the original owners, and Sam Clonts, and the business was known as Jamison and Clonts Hardware. After a few years, Mr. Jamison tranferred his interest to his son, Orland, and the business was still Jamison and CLonts. Later, a cousin of Mr. Clonts, Gene Clonts, moved here from Mart, Texas. He bought the Jamison interest adn teh business became Clonts Hardware. In 1941, Mr. Sam Clonts died and his estate sold their interest to Gene Clonts. The business then became known as Clonts Hardware and Furniture. When Mr. Clonts's son Joe Murray, finished college, he became associated with his father in the business. In 1961 Mr. Clonts sold the business to his son. It is still known as Clonts Hardware and Furniture.
