Birth: Oct. 26, 1932 Death: Nov. 10, 2002 JUSTIN - Bobby Leon Seals, 70, of Justin, our Dad who we loved so dearly, passed on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at home. Bobby trained rope horses and ranched all of his life starting at the age of 14. Bobby went to the N.F.R. in 1961 and 1962 and continued on after that. He will be so greatly missed by his many friends and family, but his legacy will always live on.
He was born Oct. 26, 1932, in Justin to Bud and Willie Mae Pennington Seals. He attended Ponder schools and was a member of the Ponder Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the First Baptist Church in Ponder with the Rev. Kim Broadstreet officiating. Burial will follow at Justin Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at DeBerry Funeral Directors.
Memorials may be made to the Bobby Seals Rodeo Scholarship Fund, c/o Farmers & Merchants State Bank, P.O. Box 218, Krum, TX 76249.
He is survived by daughters: Bobbie, and husband, Johnny North, of Ponder; Patty, and husband, Bill Morris, of Aubrey; former wife, Patsy Seals of Aubrey; stepdaughter: Paula McLain of Hamilton; brother: George, and wife, Nita Seals, of Justin; and eight grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Willie Mae Seals, and stepdaughter, Shari Deussen. DeBerry Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
