Note: MARION G. HOLDER Magnolia Banner News Published: 04/24/2011 Marion Grover Holder, 80, of Brooklyn, Miss., formerly of El Dorado, died on Thursday, April 21, 2011, in Hattiesburg, Miss. He was born in Wesson on Jan. 12, 1931, t Ida Gertrude (Foster) Holder and William Marion Holder.A graduate of Junction City High School, he worked in El Dorado for a few years before moving to Luling, La. After a long and successful building career in Louisiana, Colorado, Arkansas and California, he retired to Brooklyn.He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Melba Lampkins; and his brother, Hollis.He is survived by his brother, William Homer Holder of El Dorado; and his sisters, Nell Walters of Monroe, La., and Jean Norris of Atlanta, Ga.; and his wife, Fay Holder of Brooklyn.He was a loving father of his four daughters from his marriage to Lena Morene Holder, and their husbands, Deborah and Michael Flehr of Adelaide, Australia, Denise and Danny Parker of Bryant, Lisa and Ernest (Chick) Chickadel of Lake Village and Robin and David Hill of El Dorado.Loving grandfather of Jarrod Perry, Bradley Perry, Tiffanie Perry, Brandon Perry, Adam Ketchum, Kristi Simmons and Danielle Spencer, all of El Dorado, and Daniel Hill of Magnolia, Glen Ketchum and Samuel Ketchum of Great Falls, Mont., and Danny (DJ) Parker of Little Rock.Loving great-grandfather of Jaron, Taylor and Lena Perry of Junction City, Whitney Perry of Camden, Dylan Perry of El Dorado, Katie Svejkovsky of Great Falls, Austin Hill of Magnolia and Audrey Spencer of El Dorado.Services will be announced at a later date.
