 Funeral services were held at the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock for Mrs. Arena Holder, who died at her home Saturday morning at 5 o’clock, following a short illness. Services were conducted by Rev. C.F. Bersheres, of Antlers. Pallbearers were C.E. Guthrie, T.J. Fuller, L.F. Johnson, Jim Easley, Stilwell Guthrie and Victor Fuller. Mrs. Holder was 71 years old having been born near DeQueen, Ark., Nov. 21, 1875. Besides her husband, J.W. Holder, whom she married Nov. 15, 1931, she is survived by a son, John H. Wilson, Soper; a brother, Wesley Cooper, DeQueen, Ark.; a sister, Mrs. Dora Ozbien, Santa Anna, Calif., and 19 step children. Besides the family she leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and was converted at an early age, and lived a devoted Christian life until death.
