  Birth: Aug. 24, 1905 Cooper Delta County Texas, USA Death: Dec. 3, 2009 Paris Lamar County Texas, USA Obituary published 4 Dec 2009 in "The Paris News", Paris, TX: Myrtle Lee Cameron Townsend, 104, of Paris passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at her home. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home is to conduct graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Evergreen cemetery with Rev. Eugene Adams officiating. The family is to be at the home of her niece, Mickey, 7395 Sesame St. She was born Aug. 24, 1905, in Cooper, a daughter of Charlie and Linnie Minings Ward. She was married to Barney C. Cameron for 50 years, until his death in 1976. She then married Jack Townsend in 1978. She was a nurse at Lamar Medical Center in Paris and a member of Direct Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Barney Cameron and Jack Townsend; brothers, Bill, John, Buddy and Hammond Ward; and sisters, Edna Speck, Estelle Merritt and Dorothy Herron. She is survived by her sister, Eulalia Lee Walker of Paris; and numerous nieces and nephews including, Mickey Holden, Vickey Luman and Michael Holden.
