"Funeral services for James Modie Langley will be held at 4:00 Wednesday afternoon in Stevens Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Conaster of Conroe and Rev. Paul Smith, pastor of Concho Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Mr. Langley, a resident of Coleman County since 1945, died Monday evening, October 21, 1968 at 10:40 in Overall - Morris Memorial Hospital. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Langley, he was born August 30, 1904 in Clark County, Arkansas. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was a truck driver. "Survivors include his wife of Coleman; two sons, Cecil Langley of Brownwood and James Langley of Jacksonville, Illinois; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Ferguson of Bangs, Mrs. Sophia Abbott of Benton, Arkansas, Mrs. Easter Conaster (sic) of Conroe and Mrs. Ruby Mae Neizke of Indiana; three brothers, John Langley of Irving and Guy Langley of Thompsonville, Illinois; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
