Bobby L. Bessent, 45, of La Porte, passed away Oct. 29 in Pasadena. He was born in Borger, Texas and was a Master Sergeant E-7 with the Texas Air National Guard. He also workded with the La Porte High School R. O. T. C. as a volunteer. Services were held Nov. 2 at First Methodist Church in La Porte with Chaplain Dave Pena officiating. Bessent is survived by his wife, Sandra Bessent of La Porte; Children Tobie and Tabitha Bessent of La Porte and Michael Paschal of Bishop, Texas; sisters, Lynnette Baird of Pasadena and Glenda Wagner of La Porte; brother, Gary Bessent of Alvin; and parents Merle and Glenn Bessent of Kingsville.
