erry Don Swanner, Sr. age 65 of Mesquite Died January 9, 2013 at Dallas Regional of Mesquite He was born March 6, 1947, in Dallas, TX. to J.P. Swanner and Eunice Pauline Swanner. He attended school in Mesquite and served in the US Army.
Jerry spent his time caring for his mother and once a month working in Canton that he enjoyed for the last 6 years.
He loved cars ( buying and selling ) and loved pulling practical jokes especially shocking others with his toys.
He was a member of The American Legion and enjoyed going for Ice Tea and visiting with friends.
He was preceded in death by his father J.P. Swanner.
Jerry is survived by his mother Eunice Pauline Swanner; children daughter Tammy Thompson & husband Gerald and son Jerry Don Swanner, Jr. & wife Melissa; grandchildren Russell Tanner, Matthew Tanner, Johnna Hill, Jessica Nicole Swanner, and Christian Swanner; siblings Dorothy Graham and spouse Robert , Kenneth Swanner and spouse Karen, and Randy Swanner and spouse Sarah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
