Cooper By: From Staff Reports - The Sentinel-Record - Published: 05/08/2011 ARKADELPHIA, AR - Shirley Ann Cooper, 66, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, May 6, 2011, in Jacksboro, Texas. Shirley is survived by her husband, James Cooper; two daughters, Renee Johnson and Cherry Miller, both of Hot Springs; one sister, Sherry Green, of Gurdon; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Welch Funeral Home with Brother Temon Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Shirley Ann (Loy) Cooper (November 25, 1944 - May 6, 2011) Shirley Ann Cooper, age 66, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, May 6, 2011 in Jacksboro, TX. She was born on November 25, 1944 in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Wilburn and Idell Leamons Loy. Shirley was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Zonie Johnson and two brothers, James and Willie Loy. Shirley is survived by her husband, James Cooper, two daughters, Renee Johnson (Eric) and Cherry Miller (Jerry Welsh), both of Hot Springs, one sister, Sherry Green of Gurdon, eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Temon Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kenny Hughes, Jimmy Hughes, Ricky Green, Ricky Loy, Ronnie Loy, Jerry Welsh, Eric Johnson and James Childers. Services are entrusted to Welch Funeral Home.
