Janet Elaine (Pribble) Hickey was born September 9, 1948 to Carl and Margarete (Nelson) Pribble in Cortez, CO. When Jan was young her family moved to Balko, OK, where she grew up and attended school. After graduating high school Jan attended beautician school in Pampa, TX.
On January 31, 1969 Jan married Darrell Hickey in Perryton where they made their home and raised their family. In August of 1974 Jan opened Jan's Hair Fashion where she served many clients until 2000 when she retired.
Jan was a member of Community Worship Center and was active in many organization over the years like the Wolf Creek Advisory Board, the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. As active as Jan was it was her grandchildren, church and music that brought her the most enjoyment in life.
Jan passed away on May 5, 2013 in Perryton at the age of 64. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Clifford Pribble, and a son Scottie Pribble. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 8, 2013 at 10:30 AM in the Community Worship Center with Pastor Mike Waterbury officiating. Interment will be in Blue Mound Cemetery in Beaver County, OK under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service and Chapel.
Survivors include: her husband Darrell of the home; a daughter Kim Jines and husband Perry; two brothers Stanley Pribble of Balko, Ok and Larry Pribble of Wellington, TX; a sister Carlene Wolf of Pampa, TX; and six grandchildren Bradley Hickey and wife Mattie and Dustin Hickey of Canadian, TX, Nathan, Brianna and Gaven Jines, and Luis Loustaunau all of Perryton.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Community Worship Center Building Fund at PO Box 845 Perryton, TX 79070.
The family will receive guests form 6 PM - 8 PM Tuesday evening at Good Samaritan Chapel Perryton, TX

Marguerite Pribble BALKO, Okla. - Marguerite Pribble, 70, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1997.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Balko Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Roberson, pastor, and the Rev. Harrol Waterbury, pastor of Full Gospel Church of Perryton, Texas, officiating. Burial will be in Bluemound Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Mrs. Pribble was born in Beaver and lived in the Beaver County area all her life. She married Carl Pribble in 1942 at Balko. She was a homemaker and a member of Balko Baptist Church and the Bluemound Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Carlene Wolf of Casper, Wyo., and Jan Hickey of Perryton; two sons, Stanley Pribble of Balko and Larry Pribble of Wellington, Texas; a brother, Albert Morris of Fresno, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Bluemound Cemetery c/o Thomas Morris, Rt. 1, Box 66, Balko, Okla. 73931.
