 Kenneth graduated from W.W. Samuel High School in Dallas, and from East Texas State University (TX A&M Commerce). He will always be remembered as a loving husband and father, and as a devoted grandfather. Kenneth was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Dallas, where he served in various children’s ministries. His love of children led him to his career as a teacher and coach in the Dallas and Richardson school districts. He was also a master woodworker and furniture builder, creating beautiful heirloom pieces that will be treasured and admired for generations to come.
  Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth “Tobe” Weldon Horton and Mary Horton. He is survived by his wife, Ann Lewis Horton; daughter, Amy Middleton and husband John; grandchildren, Jackson Middleton, Caden Middleton, Judy Allen and husband Richard, and Linda Dean and husband John; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends.
  Visitation will be Friday, April 24, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00 A.M., all at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
