Mr. Alexander died Dec. 8, 2003 at his home. Born Aug. 17, 1925 in Jonesboro, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired printer for the paper mill. He is survived by his wife, Stella Alexander of Jonesboro; daughters, Donna Ramsey and husband Chet of Chatham and Glenda Gay of Jonesboro; sons, Richard Alexander of Ruston, Eddie Alexander of Dubach and Leslie Alexander and wife Teresa of Winnfield; sisters, Avis Gaines and husband L.D. "Bud" of Quitman, Joyce Hall of Dubach and Linda Evans and husband Vernon David of Quitman; brother, John Alexander and wife Nelda of Quitman; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Heath Ramsey, James Ramsey, John Odenbaugh, Darren Alexander, Scott Alexander and Mark Gaines. Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. (Provided by Sharon Ray)
