Note: l Medical Center in Lewiston. She was born July 30, 1939, at Hugo, Okla., to Edd Rothmeyer and Mamie Cundiff Rothmeyer. The youngest of six children, she spent her youth in Arizona, California and Oklahoma.
She married Jimmy L. Fowler on May 6, 1958, and they had five children. In 1972 they went their separate ways, only to remarry Nov. 15, 1986. They were "Together Again" until Jimmy's death July 17, 1990.
She moved to Lewiston in 1993. She spent her days singing karaoke and making her friends smile. Soon she began running her own karaoke shows at various places in the valley. Known as Karaoke Geanie to all of her friends, Geanie was outgoing, kind and one of the funniest people you could meet. She never met a stranger.
She is survived by her daughter Debi Calkins and husband Shawn of Lapwai; sons Kevin Fowler and wife Lynn of Erie, Pa., and Michael Fowler and wife Amy of Columbiaville, Mich.; daughter Kelly Fowler of Clarkston; 16 grandchildren; and her two great-grand babies, Alexia and Aidan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, her husband, Jimmy Fowler, and son James Fowler.
A celebration of Geanie's life for friends and family will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Curley's North in North Lewiston. Friends and family attending are asked to bring a single flower of their choice to make a memorial bouquet. Arrangements are with Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home in Lewiston.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter in Geanie's name.
