Evelyn P. Leamons, 93 of Deer Park, Texas, passed away May 5, 2011 at the age of 93. She was born October 6, 1917 in Glenwood, Arkansas to Alexander C. and Lela A. Power. She moved to Texas when she was a young girl. Evelyn graduated from Jeff Davis Nursing School and became a registered nurse. She was an Industrial Nurse for Shell Oil Company until she retired. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Leamons and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 2:30 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2011 in the Chapel at Forest Park East with interment to follow.
