  Lizzie V. Roper, 84, of 320 W. Jefferson Street, Borger, died Monday at Southwest Otheopathic Hospital in Amarillo. Funeral services are pending with Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. A retired Phillips Petroleum Company employee, she was a native of Hopkins County, Texas, and a Borger resident since 1943. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church Borger. Mrs. Roper is survived by two daughters, Sandye Earles of Borger and Winnell McLaughlin of Amarillo; two sons, L.O. Stapleton of North Highlands, California and G.E. Stapleton of Colton, California; 13 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
